Please be advised that Crestwood Preparatory College continues its “Nut-Allergy Friendly“ policy at the school. All members of the school community are advised not to bring or send nuts or nut products to the school. We should all do what we can to keep all our students, particularly the more vulnerable ones, as safe as possible.

Parents have already informed the school of their son’s or daughter’s potential health risks. Teachers have been given pictures and names of students who are involved and were trained in emergency aid delivery at the end of August. In some cases, EPIPENS have been left in the main office. If your son or daughter may need to be treated for an allergic reaction at the school, it is extremely important that we have and EPIPEN for him/her. If you have not made these arrangements, please do so as soon as possible. Students may also have to carry one with them at all times.

Finally, there is no way to ensure or make the school completely nut “free”. This will require educating students with allergy issues in ways to protect themselves when or if real or potential health-risk situations present themselves.

You can find more on the school’s Nut Policy on our web site. Go to “Academics”, then to “School Policies” and then “Nut Policy”.
